The SystemsAccountants BI Practice has built a reputation as a leading recruitment specialist of skills and expertise in IBM’s Cognos range of products, with a particular focus on CPM tools. As the Cognos product set has grown, so has our track record – to date we have completed over 250 recruitment campaigns requiring specific Cognos skills.

Cognos has grown rapidly through acquisition in recent years, and in 2008 was itself acquired by IBM as part of the recent consolidation of the business systems software market. Cognos Business Intelligence (BI) and performance management solutions deliver world-leading enterprise planning, consolidation and BI software, support and services to help companies plan, understand and manage financial and operational performance. IBM Cognos solutions bring together technology, analytical applications, best practices, and a broad network of partners to give customers an open, adaptive and complete performance solution. Over 23,000 customers in more than 135 countries around the world use IBM Cognos solutions

Our unique area of focus is in the identification and supply of professionals who combine business and finance backgrounds with deep product expertise. This enables us to provide our business customers, such as Finance and Operations, with a hybrid Business / IT capability that can help them to define their management information needs and translate this into an IT specification that will deliver results.

Cognos 8 Business Intelligence

This product delivers valuable insight into how an organisation is performing and quickly identifies its strengths and opportunities to increase profitability going forward. Cognos 8 BI delivers the complete range of BI capabilities on a single, service-oriented architecture (SOA). It enables users to author, share, and use reports that draw on data across all enterprise sources for better business decisions. Version 10 of Cognos BI is about to be released.

Cognos TM1 Consultant

IBM Cognos TM1 provides a real-time approach to consolidating, viewing, and editing large volumes of multidimensional data. TM1 has received some of the industry’s highest ratings for assisting organizations to deliver fast financial performance management. Using a patented, 64-bit, in-memory OLAP server, IBM Cognos TM1 can handle large volumes of multidimensional data. The latest version is 9.4.

Cognos 8 Planning

As one of the leading Enterprise Business Planning Software, Cognos Planning enables finance to turn sophisticated strategy into analytical plans, budgets and forecasts in an accurate and timely manner. This former Adaytum product is one of the most widely used Financial Planning +Analysis tools in the UK.

Cognos 8 Controller

An integral element within Group Finance to speed up the consolidation of financial data across an organisation’s operating units, providing accurate management and statutory reporting. This former Frango solution provides a flexible group consolidation tool for medium to large scale businesses.

We are the UK’s leading finance systems recruitment company.

Unlike the vast majority of recruitment companies we are not built on a sales culture. We are wholly service and solutions focused. In fact in many instances our services are more akin to a hybrid mix of recruitment and consultancy.

This is because the vast majority of finance systems work is project related, such as upgrade and development initiatives. Indeed the replacement or implementation of new finance systems, ERP or BI tools will normally be driven by a business need for operational improvements and by definition change. Such change projects typically incorporate process standardisation / automation, shared services creation, or MI transformation such as data governance implementation and enterprise BI architecture.
