Dynamics AX - Targeted at global enterprises and larger mid-market companies, the latest version of this robust ERP application is AX 2012. It boasts a superb user interface, based on the look and feel of Outlook, and has expanded the focus from Manufacturing to Retail, Media & Entertainment, and the Public Sector. 

Dynamics GP - DynamicsGP 2010 is the latest version of the product. SystemsAccountants has completed over 250 recruitments assignments for clients seeking GP implementation and support skills; one of the most popular mid-range finance systems.

Dynamics NAV - Aimed at the high end of the SME sector, NAV is a rounded, roles based finance and business system. We have been recruiting expertise in this application and its forebears for over 10 years and have a significant reach into this user community. Dynamics NAV 2009 is the latest version, though Dynamics NAV 2012 is due out soon.

As the AX product has been developed, enhanced and made more robust over the last few years; it has increasingly been selected to the final shortlist stage of a great number of ERP evaluation and selection exercises.

However larger client organizations who may be seeking to replace older versions of the traditional big ticket ERP applications such as SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards or PeopleSoft often run shy of AX at the final knockings due to concerns surrounding change management, process re-engineering and project assurance.
SAP and Oracle have typically underpinned an element of finance or business transformation; and indeed were typically implemented as enablers to standardize processes and leverage operational efficiency through shared services. These business drivers remain valid and owing to the substantial transformation consulting capability that has developed around these traditional ERP products; clients often revert to form and stick with an Oracle or SAP upgrade path; even if they technically prefer the AX solution.

As you will note from our case studies and other sections on this site, SystemsAccountants has a great deal of experience in mobilizing ERP transformation resources to support complex change programmes. A large number of our mandates have been to source Interim Consultants to deliver Programme Assurance, PMO and Enterprise Architecture services. These small teams typically act in a trusted advisory capacity sitting between the client and its chosen Systems Integrator, helping the client to set the governance for the programme and take comfort that the business case is clearly defined and understood, there is a plan to track, measure and ensure benefits are realised, and that the appropriate controls and project risk management techniques are employed.
