In recent years, SAP has typically been the underpinning technology platform to enable full scale finance transformation, such as process standardisation, the migration to a new target operating model such as shared services, and to support the shift in focus of finance’s role as a custodian of the numbers to one of decision support.
SAP is a major market for SystemsAccountants, having undertaken over 500 SAP-centric recruitment assignments during the last 10 years.
Over this period we have partnered with over 25 companies to provide larger scale programme resourcing solutions to complex SAP enabled business transformation programmes, of which 10 have incorporated the provision of teams of over 25 SAP consultants and business process experts. We have considerable expertise across all main modules - FI/CO, SD, MM, HR, PM, PS, as well as the BI/BPM suite - SAP BI/BW, SEM (BCS, BPS) and BPC (formerly Outlooksoft).
The role of SystemsAccountants has been to act as a conduit to access the best available independent and interim resource to deliver services to each programme, such as: programme management; QA; PMO; SAP design, build, test & deployment; change & communications; process & shared services architecture; knowledge transfer; and transition management.
Two of the largest SAP programmes we have provided resource partnering services to were AXA’s UK finance transformation programme (to which we provided over 50 resources) and Serco Group plc’s finance transformation programme, internally branded Formula100, to which we provided over 45 resources.
SAP’s latest enterpise scale product is SAP ERP 6.0, and aided by the Netweaver technology platform, the organisation is leading the way in the development of Service-oriented architecture. Following the aquisition of Business Objects in 2008, SAP is now creating a fresh BI and BPM suite of products, led by SAP BPC (formerly Outlooksoft) and Business Objects Finance, as well as BOXI and SAP BI.
