SystemsAccountants is now in a position to not only provide Finance Systems specialists to implement, upgrade and optimise your applications, but also provide Training professionals who are able to deliver complete training programmes or 'Ad hoc' training around specific modules of the product suite.
As a partner to over 5,000 finance systems recruitment initiatives, SystemsAccountants have an unparalleled level of access to, and understanding of, the expertise that exists on the specialist interim market place. As part of this service, SystemsAccountants have provided training resource from the interim market to over 100 clients undertaking finance systems projects and business systems programmes. A snapshot of the training resource that SystemsAccountants have provided includes:
- Oracle Financials roll out for a FTSE 100 client across multiple offices and locations requiring 6 interims over a 12 month time frame.
- Agresso v5.4 to v5.5 upgrade project – training delivered to over 2000 end users by two interim specialists over a two year time frame for a large public sector body.
- Procurement process review and e-Procurement systems (Proactis) training delivered to a leading UK charity over a 10 month review, implementation and roll-out programme.
- SAP European roll-out for a global financial services client – permanent training manager provided and a team of interim trainers to deliver training across Europe.
Training Needs Analysis (TNA)
Our interims will conduct a Training Needs Analysis (TNA) looks at each aspect of an operational domain so that the initial skills, concepts and attitudes of the human elements of a system can be effectively identified and appropriate training can be specified.
Training analysis as a process often covers:
- Review of current training
- Task analysis (of new or modified system)
- Identification of training gap
- Statement of training requirement
- Assessment of training options
- Cost benefit analysis of training options
Due to the close tie between the design of the system and the training required, in most cases it runs alongside the development to capture the training requirements. This is something that can be completed by a Business Analyst alongside a Training Manager or assigned to a specific training team. Both options can be provided by SystemsAccountants.
Training Design and Delivery
Once a thorough TNA has been carried out and the team has fully identified and understands the gaps, the appropriate training course will be designed and delivered to support the user community in reaching the required level of ability. This training can be delivered in a combination of different delivery methods including:
- On-line learning (designed to deliver information to a large number of users on short modules)
- Classroom (designed to deliver detailed information to a large number of users on longer modules)
- 1-2-1 or coaching sessions (designed to provide specific staff with detailed training on specific modules related to their job)
Training Material Plan
A lot of time, effort and money is put into delivering training but this can be jeopardised if the right training material and set-up is not put in place. As part of our offering, we are able to propose, manage and maintain a complete Training Material Plan consisting of the following –
- Creating E-Learning Modules
- Requisition of catering and stationary (when required)
- Creating PowerPoint slides
- Preparing Training Database
- Preparing Delegate Material
- Booking Delegates Time
Training Database
Prior to and during the training, our Consultants deliver a Training Database for all users to revert back to. Within this database, users will be able to exercise their training and processes within the training database without changing the data in the live systems. This will continue to run alongside the live system once the training has been completed. The consultants will also fully hand over the training database to the systems administrator.
Post Training
Once the training programme has been delivered, all documentation, systems and processes will be transferred to the relevant Systems Administrator or Systems Accountant. A full hand over process will take place and the training consultants will be available via mobile should there be any difficulties.
As part of Post Training, the Training Consultants will assist in setting up a Helpdesk for all training issues and will also be on hand to assist in resolving these issues.
