A project manager with extensive experience of delivering finance and procurement focused ERP and business intelligence solutions and the creation and optimisation of shared service centres.
A qualified accountant, he has a wealth of industry experience, including financial services, media, retail and telecommunications. A pragmatic problem solver and proven all-round communicator, he attributes his achievements to his style of project management; empathy and disciple.
A recent project case study: led a post-acquisition project to establish a finance organisation and shared service centre for a media group with a turnover of £1 billion. Undertaken within the confines of a transitional services agreement, his key challenge lay in the delivery of these objectives within an eight month timeframe and an ambiguous management structure.
He managed a team of forty consultants, in-house personnel and third-party resource who:
- Selected and implemented Coda financials, Proactis procurement and Hyperion solutions
- Established a shared service centre; including structural definition, personnel selection and process definition
His key achievement in delivering this project was in developing collaborative relationships between three disparate groups of senior managers and board members; without which the project would not have succeeded.
