Data Architect

Data Architect - £750 per day

A technical and solution architect with extensive practical experience tackling the data cleansing, reference data, master data, metadata and ETL processing necessary to build a successful data warehouse. He is very familiar with the dimensional modelling techniques advocated by Ralph Kimball and others, and maintains his knowledge of currently available data warehousing and business intelligence tools and best practice approaches.

Significant experience customising template data models to meet specific business requirements, including the Banking Data Warehouse (BDW), Insurance Application Architecture (IAA), Telecom Data Warehouse (TDW) and Retail Data Warehouse (RDW) from IBM's Information Framework (IFW). In addition to managing project teams, in several engagements he has managed third party or outsourced suppliers. He is a confident and effective communicator, comfortable with complex business issues as well as detailed technical matters. He believes in exploiting appropriate technology in an agile manner to deliver business benefit, not in technology for technology's sake. His industry experience covers Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, Telecoms, Manufacturing, Retail and Healthcare.
