29 July 2011SystemsAccountants Market Report Spring 2011 In terms of market trends we are pleased to report that demand for a finance systems manager, ERP, EPM and Finance Projects experts has been buoyant in recent months. This has been the case both in the Financial Services sector (due to the introduction of new regulation) and also in Commerce & Industry where we have seen a steady return of project work as business cases are signed off for process improvement, functional upgrade, MI & reporting initiatives. During 2010, we witnessed a steady increase in the number of permanent and interim finance systems candidates being sought by clients. In particular demand were candidates with functional and development skills in EPM products and those wishing to apply for Hyperion jobs and other roles using Cognos and SAP BPC; as well as Financial and ERP applications such as Agresso, CODA, Dynamics AX and Oracle eBusiness. This trend has accelerated during 2011 the number of interim consultants we have placed on assignment rose has risen by 50% over the first 6 months of the year, and we are on track to have our strongest year of trading in our 14 year history. Project Managers, PMOs, Functional Consultants and Business Analysts with subject matter expertise in ERP, EPM and Finance Systems make up the bulk of interims on assignment. Typical roles we have filled on a permanent basis have included Systems Accountants, Finance Systems Managers and Finance System Administrators.
