SystemsAccountants release their Finance Systems Managers Salary Survey for 2011
5 December 2011
Market Summary
2011 has turned out to be a very busy year for us, with many clients initiating new projects, and with permanent hires back to 2008 levels. As highlighted in our last market report in the Spring, demand for Finance Systems, ERP, EPM and Finance Projects experts has been buoyant throughout the year. Typical roles we have filled on a permanent basis have remained focussed on our core expertise of Finance Systems Managers, Systems Accountants, and Finance System Administrators.
There is high demand for candidates with specialised knowledge of the Finance Systems products that are proving popular in the minds of our clients – HFM, TM1 and SAP BPC in the EPM space, and Agresso, CODA, Dynamics AX, SAP and Infor FMS SunSystems in the ledger space. Candidates who have a combination of these technologies and good ‘soft skills’ such as line management, stakeholder management remain in demand for both consulting and in-house roles. This high demand has meant that the pool of available job seekers in these areas has shrunk, normally leaving good candidates with several offers on the table.
On the interim side, the number of interim consultants we have placed on assignment rose has risen by 50% during the course of 2011, and now stands at the highest level in out 14 years of trading. Finance Systems Project Managers, PMOs, Functional Consultants and Business Analysts make up the bulk of interims on assignment.
