SAP Business ByDesign, also referred to as SAP ByDesign or SAP ByD, is an ERP system designed for SAP’s mid-market customers. It is a true-cloud system designed to deliver pre-built processes for everything from finance and sales to product management, supply chain, and purchasing on a single, unified solution. SAP ByD is an increasingly popular system and would typically be considered at system selection stage alongside other mid-market true-cloud systems such as Netsuite and Microsoft Dynamics. Compared to SAP’s other ERP offerings, SAP ByDesign typically suits larger companies than SAP Business One, but smaller companies than SAP S/4 HANA. SystemsAccountants work with SAP ByDesign end users and partners looking to bring on anyone with ByD skills.

Systems Administrator

A Financial Systems Administrator is a vital cog in a business’s IT department, as They implement the technical strategies designed to overcome the Issues encountered during systems analysis. You’ll work as part of a Team to brainstorm the best scalable workarounds and fixes for Problems great and small. Being able to think creatively is a must!

Business Systems Analyst

Business Systems Analysts are dedicated to researching and analyzing a company’s IT processes to identify areas for improvement or streamlining. In contrast to a Functional Consultant, BSAs tend to have much more contact on the side of users and will have to communicate directly with management and colleagues around the company.

Finance Systems Accountant

The Finance Systems Accountant will lead key workstreams of Implementation including requirements, design, build, test, training, and rollout of the new system. To develop systems and processes to ensure the effective and efficient processing of financial and non-financial data and to further extend the range of management tools and reports used to inform the business.

Finance Systems Manager

The Finance Systems Manager will initiate and drive continuous improvement in financial reporting and associated systems, processes, and policies. The finance systems manager will support users of finance systems providing specialist knowledge of business systems and processes.

Business Analyst

Business Systems Analysts are dedicated to researching and analysing a company’s IT processes to identify areas for improvement or streamlining. Project Manager

Project Managers continually implement and improve Systems in the business. Project Managers are responsible for planning, organising, and directing the completion of specific projects for an organisation while ensuring these projects are on time, on budget, and within scope.

Useful skills you need

  • Experience using SAP Business ByDesign for an end user client or as a consultant

  • Skills in supporting SAP ByD at 1st, 2nd or 3rd line level

  • Finance background or IT background

  • Any development skills with ByD

  • Experience focusing on a particular module with SAP ByD, ie Finance, Logistics, Supply Chain, Production, Project Management, SCM

  • Skills in SQL or HANA

  • Experience of generating Crystal reports from the system
