Accounting Lead – Controller

This will be our client’s first accounting hire. You will report to the VP of Finance and work closely with sales, customer success, and product leaders to deliver great internal and external customer experiences. You’ll manage monthly and quarterly processes, including the preparation of financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.

In your first few weeks in this accounting role, you can expect to:

• Manage monthly and quarterly close processes, including the AR, AP, and payroll processes
• Build accounting infrastructure from the ground up (ERP, Q2C)
• Oversee the company’s first financial statement audit
• Explore the impact of creating a second entity outside of the US.

To succeed in this flexible role, you will need the ability to own all aspects of the accounting function, including tactical (how we pay vendors on time) and strategic (making the right design choices around ERP and Q2C implementations). You will also require the following:

• Experience with QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Sage Intacct
• Experience working at a high-growth venture-backed start-up
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Qualifications as a CPA.
