Advisory Consultant – FP&A and Financial Systems

In this role you will deliver a range of innovative FP&A solutions across DACH as the functional lead, guiding the technical CPM/Performance Management Development team on best practice and client requirements. This will suit a current Senior Consultant/ Manager level Big4 or similar consultant, seeking a change to a boutique consultancy firm. This position will be based in Zurich or Germany.

You will be responsible from the early stages of any project, supporting presales with fielding high-level questions from the CFO office, advising on best practice and project design. You will then take the Proof of Concept (PoC) from a vision to reality, overseeing the development team in their delivery, quality assuring the design and delivery. You will design from scratch complex models for clients across multiple industries, understanding their needs and recommending solutions and technologies, bridging the gap between finance and IT.

Candidate Profile:

• Ideally ACCA, CIMA qualified, or related
• Must have a strong background in FP&A, budgeting & forecasting reporting, Driver Based Planning, Profitability, Allocations etc.
• Must have strong Excel modelling skills, ideally with additional EPM tools e.g. Cognos TM1, Hyperion Planning, Essbase, Anaplan, Tagetik, SAP BPC etc.
• Skills with VBA and SQL will be highly advantageous
• Ideally project management experience, leading teams of functional and technical resources on the delivery of projects
• Any skills to support POC and presales activities will be an advantage
• Strong communications skills, stakeholder management and advisory skills, to manage client expectations
• Ideally knowledge of CPM planning related tools
• Must have fluent English and right to work in EU. German an advantage
