Finance Business Analyst – IBM Planning Analytics (OLAP)

Join a large multinational company at their global HQ in Paris. You will join the finance department, but be part of the financial systems team, focused on Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) applications. This team is focused on ensuring the finance team always have available data and insight capabilities. As the company continues heavily investing in new technology, there are is a huge array of projects and transformation underway. You will be the interface between finance and technology, working to define and refine requirements, quality assure what is being built by the developers.

This role suits someone with a highly project focused mentality, who is keen to ask “can we improve this process” and “how else can we approach this problem”!

What will I be doing?

Develop the application solution: Handle the various development and correction requests for the group application.

  • Understanding and appropriation of the business need
  • Participation in the functional specification
  • Creation of functional test cases
  • Follow-up of the developments, execution of the acceptance test
  • Follow-up of the project and processing of tasks in agile mode.
  • Run team support
  • L2/3 support to the Run team in processing tickets
  • Support on the advanced use of the different functionalities of the EPM application Project documentation
  • Writing of reports
  • Writing of functional specifications
  • Creation and/or update of user guides The skills that you will need to make an impact:

What background and skills will I need to have?

  • 3+ years minimum but 5+ years preferred on OLAP/ EPM solutions ideally in a consulting or design contribution role (AMOA/MOE).
  • Experience with Cognos TM1/ IBM Planning Analytics
  • Confirmed contribution to the design, specification and acceptance phases (AMOA)
  • Experience or knowledge in management control

  • Excellent communication skills in English (reading, writing, speaking)
