Financial Systems Specialist – Oracle EPM/ Hyperion Planning

My client is looking to expand their Finance Systems team, particularly on the Hyperion Planning applications. Due to an increasing workload in the team the team is growing and alongside taking the day to day administration of Hyperion Planning, you will also get an opportunity to work on multiple projects as the company acquires new business and transforms the EPM and BI landscape in line with these changes.

You will have the opportunity to work on not only Hyperion Planning but also BI tools like Tableau and the group ERP Oracle EBS, as well as new cloud EPM products as the client looks at future replacement tech!

This suits an existing systems administrator seeking to take on more responsibility within a dynamic environment or Consultant in the early stages of their career looking to move in-house.

Key areas of responsibility:

• Functional and technical administration of Hyperion Planning applications including installation and patches
• Change requests and development for all new requirements
• Experience providing support to users
• Support ODI integration between EPM systems and the transactional tools
• Development of rules and scripts in Hyperion Planning
• Responsible for developing and enhancing all aspects of reporting
• Identify and develop improvements based on process and system performance
• Work closely with business users, interpret requirements and create solutions in combination with other team members.
• Assist with system upgrades and a projects
• Take a leading role in creating a close relationship between IT and Finance.

Desired Skills and Experience

• 2+ years of professional experience
• Previous experience of Hyperion Planning/ Essbase
• Proficient in the use of Smartview and the design and creation of reports
• SQL skills are an advantage, as well as wider ETL/ Integration
• Broader Oracle ERP or Finance systems experience would be of benefit.
• Interest in BI and Data Visualization e.g. Tableau, Qlik, PowerBI is an advantage
• Understanding of finance and business processes e.g. FP&A, Controlling, Workforce Planning etc.
• English language skills are required
