IBM Planning Analytics/ Cognos TM1 Consultant

My client is seeking an IBM Planning Analytics/ Cognos TM1 Consultant to join their team on a permanent basis to work on upcoming implementation projects within Paris. Future opportunities to work abroad on international projects across Europe and APAC!

You will be responsible for designing and developing complex Financial Budgeting & Forecasting/ Planning solutions for a range of clients, from the largest multinationals through smaller mid-size enterprises. Working with clients, you will be key to maintaining strong partnerships across various client projects and ensuring the successful implementation of Cognos TM1 and associated solutions. Within a client environment you must be able to direct the ongoing strategy for the implementation and upgrade projects, delivering a client focused solution to suit the business needs.

You will be responsible for:

• full project life-cycle – End to end TM1/ PA project management
• functional analysis and requirements gathering – run workshops
• complex modelling and design of solutions to clients’ needs – budgeting and planning, HR, Sales, Marketing, Finance
• development of reports for various business functions
• developing all technical aspects of the solutions as per the client requirements
• manage all stakeholder engagement and advise clients throughout project assignments
• actively contributing to technological developments within the TM1 space – development of new Cognos add-ons and best practice guidelines
• training and mentoring junior consultants and developers
• fluent English and French required

Skills Required:

• 2-5 years of professional experience
• A strong background using Cognos TM1/ Jedox Software as a developer, consultant or hands-on administrator
• Demonstrable experience of complex modelling and development within Cognos TM1/ Planning Analytics/ Jedox
• Strong TM1 skills including, Advanced TM1 rules, feeders and Turbo Integrator knowledge
• Experience of TM1 Architect, Perspectives, CAFÉ
• PA Workspace experience is an advantage
• Experience of Cognos BI and other BI tools is beneficial
• Further programming skills in HTML5, PHP, Java and additional R and Python is a significant advantage
• Strong customer focused approach dealing with all levels of staff with different skill sets, whilst able to get the message across and deliver the right technical solution
• Project management experience is an advantage but not a requirement – familiar with Agile methodology
