Manager of Applications Development

Job information

We are searching for a Manager of Applications Development. This position reports
directly to the Chief Information Officer and is primarily responsible for applications including
ERP, Product Life Cycle, Warehouse Management and Data Integration Platforms. The
individual should be strongly familiar with the omnichannel world and today’s retail
environment to ensure that customer is served with the best possible experience from order
initiation through delivery; should also be hands on, detail oriented and possess
development expertise. The Manager of Applications Development should be a great
listener with an adaptable communication style and a passion for retail applications. The role
will lead the technical development team with a desire for total understanding of our
business and supply chain systems.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee IT operations and supervise systems and IT staff
  • Manage the vendors that support applications, IT services and other areas necessary to

support the full technology landscape.

  • Consult senior-level stakeholders across the entire organization to identify business and

technology needs and to optimize the use of information technology

  • Ensure smooth delivery and operation of IT services by monitoring systems performance
  • Create processes and standards for selection, implementation, and support of systems
  • Develop strategy as it relates to the IT roadmap.
  • Provide direction, guidance, and training to IT staff

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or

a related field

  • Experience working in a fast-paced digital retail ecommerce environment
  • Strong vendor management skills
  • 5+ years of experience working in IT operations, supervising technology teams, and

overseeing large information technology projects

  • Excellent understanding of computer systems, security, network and systems

administration, databases and data storage systems, and telecommunications systems

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with teams across the

entire organization

  • Excellent leadership and decision-making skills
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles
  • Experience with Demand Planning, Data Integration platforms and ERP systems
  • Experience with Celigo and NetSuite a plus
