Manager/ Senior Manager FP&A/ Controlling – Consulting

Context of the role?

Join a leading Tier one consulting partner at a Manager/ Senior Manager grade as an FP&A/ Controlling expert who has an affinity for technology Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) products like Anaplan, Adaptive Planning, IBM Planning Analytics/ Cognos TM1.

What will I be doing?

• Partner with CFOs to define their project needs, specifically around FP&A and Controlling process
• Define the client roadmap and continue to innovate going forward
• Enable the CFO to become more strategic and leverage data and technology to improve decision-making
• Help design new Target Operating Models and functional roadmaps for the business

• Applying knowledge of roles, core functions and typical procedures of the Finance function for supporting development of recommendations to identify, select and deploy the most suitable solutions (quick-wins, process reengineering, tools and organization)
• Work with technical partners and consultants to ensure their delivery meets the right specifications
• Manage client stakeholder needs and requests, be the interface to the business

• Train clients on best practice and provide guidance on industry best practice
• Develop the practice through mentoring junior team members and ensure effective knowledge transfer across departments
• Monitor project timelines and deadlines
• Identify new projects within clients and propose new ideas to help formulate the client roadmap – develop new commercial activities
• Building trust-based and long-term relationships with clients and partners
• Develop high-performing people and teams through challenging and meaningful opportunities
• Deliver exceptional client service, driving high performance from people
• Lead by example and establish confident relationships
• Understand key objectives for clients and the firm; align people to objectives and set priorities and direction

What background skills might I require?

• University degree in Finance, Controlling, Business or Tech related fields
• At least 5 years of consulting experience in Big4 or related top tier consulting/ systems integrator firms delivering international projects
• Strong knowledge of Finance, FP&A and Controlling processes
• Confident communicator who can take clients on a journey
• Project management experience is an asset
• Big picture thinking and strong Transformation mindset!
• Fluency in English and French
