Oracle EPM – System Owner
Location: Hertfordshire
Hybrid: Office based 2/3 days a week

The Oracle EPM System Owner will be fundamental in maintaining data integrity for budget, forecast and actuals and will support the finance team with reporting from Oracle EPM. This individual will be responsible for the development of ORacle EPM and therefor must be proficient with business rules and comfortable in building cubes and dimensions within Oracle EPM. As well as bringing technical expertise, you will be acting as the SME and initiate system enhancements projects in the view to deliver a 1st class solution in line with business needs.

There is one direct report for this role, a Finance Systems (Oracle EPM) Analyst, whose main focus will be on the day to day activities associated with maintaining the system.

BAU Responsibilities:

* Oversight and own administration of the Oracle EPM planning, budgeting and reporting tool
* Oversight and own all month end processes associated with Oracle EPM
* Maintain Oracle EPM mappings and ensure integrity of numbers in both the management accounts and statutory accounts
* Responsible for the central cost allocations in Oracle EPM to the various business units
* Integrity of the reporting of financial and non-financial data
* Assist with uploading forecasts and budgets into Oracle EPM
* Maintain robust and effective Oracle EPM system controls

Lead Developer Responsibilities:

* Current Oracle EPM solution is predominantly focused on Planning and Budgeting but with plans to expand across other modules / functionality (e.g. cashflow, accounts reconciliation) and any candidate needs to be able to lead the design and perform the development in a hands-on capacity
* Enhancements to our existing Oracle EPM Planning and Budgeting module including Statutory reporting cube redesign and implementation, support with building improved reporting outputs (i.e. Balance Sheet and Cashflow statements)
* Evolving our forecasting and trending capabilities in line with best practice
* As well as enhancing our solution this candidate is expected to identify and suggest potential enhancements to our finance systems environment
* Continual review and improvement in the use of Oracle EPM to automate and streamline data feeds and reporting of data
* Provide subject matter expertise and training across finance while providing technical support to all end users of Oracle EPM
* Work with Finance Stakeholders and deliver on the implementation of the finance systems roadmap from an EPM systems perspective

Key Skills:

* A strong working knowledge of Oracle EPM (or PBCS / Hyperion) (required)
Proficient with business rules, Calc Scripts, SQL
* A part-qualified or qualified accountant (required)
* Advanced Excel skills, preferably including VBA (required)
* Ability to communicate at all levels
* Strong analytical skills
* Experience in a similar Finance Systems Manager role highly desirable
