Our repeat client is seeking a Regulatory Reporting Data Analyst to support their regulatory reporting function by ensuring accurate, complete, and traceable data delivery into their regulatory reporting platform (Axiom). This role plays a critical part in helping the firm comply with evolving Federal Reserve and other regulatory requirements through robust data management, analysis, and validation processes.
This is a hybrid position, 4 days per week in office.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure data supplied to the regulatory reporting tool meets all required standards and supports timely, accurate regulatory filings to the Federal Reserve.
- Write, read, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries to trace data lineage across data warehouses and reporting systems.
- Map and document data flows from source systems to reporting outputs; identify and resolve data quality or lineage gaps.
- Validate that data feeds meet both business and regulatory reporting requirements; investigate discrepancies and implement corrective measures.
- Partner with regulatory reporting, finance, accounting, and technology teams to ensure consistent data definitions and compliance with reporting standards.
- Contribute to the design and maturation of structured data lineage and metadata management practices.
- Perform data root cause analysis and remediation for data inconsistencies or system issues impacting reporting accuracy.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in Data Analytics
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction, analysis, and troubleshooting.
- Experience working with data warehouses and understanding data lineage concepts.
- Proven ability to analyze and interpret large datasets with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with regulatory reporting processes or data compliance requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of accounting fundamentals
- Banking or financial services experience
- Exposure to Axiom or other regulatory reporting tools.
