S/4 Solution Architect P2P (Purchase-to-Pay)

My client is searching for a new SAP S/4 Solution Architect focused on the P2P stream, for their new Finance Systems Architecture team. This is a brand new role and coincides with their S/4 Hana programme to unify the company onto a single ERP instance.

You will work across multiple stakeholders in IT, Data, Finance, and other departments, so this role requires someone with a curious and open-minded approach. You will work closely with the SAP Operations team who consist of multiple Product Owners for the core Finance business processes R2R, O2C, and, P2P. Your role will be the technical voice for the capabilities of S/4 Hana in the P2P domain.

To ensure success as the R2R Solution Architect, you should demonstrate extensive experience in S/4 Hana development, maintenance, and ongoing strategy for the future product roadmap.

What will I be doing?

• Collaborating with the Product Owner and Technical Leads to ensure that roadmaps achieve the right balance between business delivery, technology enablement, and operations.
• Managing the operational aspects of delivery teams across a product line, ensuring compliance with financial, risk, legal, security, and other requirements.
• Maximizing the value flow through the product by systematically measuring and removing impediments, and ensuring a metrics-focused approach to measuring Objectives & Key Results realization and Product performance.
• Advocating for and driving adoption of agile ways of working within the Product teams, including assessing supplier performance and fostering strong relationships that encourage continuous improvement and innovation.
• Realizing the Product’s objectives and key results and other value metrics defined on the Product roadmap.

What profile and expertise will I need to be successful?

• A university in computer science or engineering with 5 years of experience
• Must have previous work experience in SAP consulting, systems integration, or architect role
• Must have excellent expertise in ABAP development with very good understanding of SAP modules such as MM, Workflow and Intercompany
• Must have experience working with interfaces in addition to Web Services, such as Java connectors and Rest APIs communicating with non-SAP applications.
• Experience in analysing, creating system specifications, developing tests, and implementing business solutions using SAP technologies
• Worked in SAP HANA private cloud and Fiori environments
• Experience managing projects and working with a team of Engineers.
• The ability to assess and manage technical risks and issues.
• Good communication skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines without compromising quality.
