SAP Business One Implementation Consultant

£250 – £350 day-rate (outside of IR35) for 4 – 6 months

East Midlands, hybrid

SystemsAccountants are working with a leading client in their field who are currently implementing SAP Business One and looking for an SAP B1 Implementation Consultant to assist them with this project for a period of 4-6 months.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in delivering full SAP Business One implementations, preferably with previous experience either as an Independent Consultant or working for a SAP B1 partner.

Role Responsibilities:

• Delivering the full end to end implementation of the SAP B1 system
• Requirement gathering across the business to identify system requirements
• Cleansing, preparing, and migrating their data from the legacy systems into SAP B1
• Defining, mitigating, and managing project risks
• Accurate and realistic project reporting to the key stakeholders and acting as primary point of contact for all programmatic project queries to key stakeholders
• Taking opportunities to improve processes and procedures.
• Managing the relationship with the third party partner
• Conducting training for the new end-users of the SAP B1 system, providing technical advice and guidance
• Providing the first line support for all ERP related issues and queries across the company
• Overseeing the delivery of some immediate post go-live support and configuring the system
• Creating training documents for the end-users, including training manuals
• Participating in User Acceptance Training

Role Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years experience in SAP Business One
• Experience delivering full end to end implementations of SAP B1
• Track record of successfully implementing any other ERP systems
• Advanced MS Office skills, particularly Excel
• Working knowledge in MS SQL Server and SQL query writing
• Competency in Crystal Reporting, ability to edit reports as well as write them from scratch
• Financial understanding / background, preferably with a relevant accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA etc.) preferable
• A deep understanding of accounting principles and SAP B1 setup, including multi-currency accounting and international VAT regulations.
• Familiarity with MRP and manufacturing setups within SAP B1, particularly involving Bills of Materials
• Knowledge of SAP B1 add-ons, particularly Boyum Usability Pack, Produmex, or BPA
• Proficiency in Data Transfer Workbench
• Project Management skills
• Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
