Associated British Ports owns and operates 21 ports in England, Scotland and Wales and handles approximately a quarter of the countries seaborne trade.

The challenge:

ABP decided that they wanted to centralise their finance function and finance system from six separate applications.

The solution:

At this time, SystemsAccountants was engaged to provide an expert SunSystems v4.2.6 Consultant to guide them in the design of the new single instance chart of accounts. As the chart of accounts was close to completion, ABP asked us to provide a Project Manager to deliver the change program.

The outcome:

We successfully sourced a Project Manager who delivered the project within the allotted timeframe and well within budget. Consequentially we were retained to appoint a small project team to deliver a Hyperion financial reporting and consolidation system.
