Introduction to the Position
Are you an experienced Accountant looking for an opportunity to work with a dynamic German company? Our client is seeking a skilled finance professional to join their team and support their accounting operations. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in general accounting tasks and experience working with NetSuite. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting processes, ensuring financial accuracy, and contributing to the efficiency of the finance team.
Your Responsibilities
- Perform daily accounting tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and journal entries
- Assist with month-end and year-end financial close processes
- Ensure compliance with local accounting regulations (HGB) and tax requirements
- Support financial reporting and provide insights for management decision-making
- Work closely with internal teams and external auditors to maintain financial accuracy
- Optimize and improve financial processes using NetSuite ERP
- Assist with ad-hoc finance tasks and projects as required
Desired Qualifications
- Fluency in German and English (both written and spoken)
- Experience in general accounting, preferably within a German business environment
- Strong knowledge of German accounting standards (HGB) and tax regulations
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
