What is the role and company?

A large multinational organisation is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Planning Systems Specialist to join their global operations team on a permanent basis. Based in Barcelona, this role is central to managing and evolving the company’s supply chain planning systems and processes. You will act as the key link between IT and business stakeholders, ensuring that planning technologies are aligned with operational needs and strategic goals.

What will I be doing?

• Own the Platform: Act as the product manager for supply chain planning systems, managing the roadmap, backlog, and delivery of enhancements using Agile methodologies.
• Functional Coverage: Support and evolve planning capabilities across Supply Planning, Forecasting & Demand Planning, Capacity Planning, Attribute-Based Planning, Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), and Short-Term Execution (S&OE) / Control Tower.
• Business Analysis: Work closely with business stakeholders to gather, analyse, and prioritise requirements, translating them into functional specifications.
• Project Delivery: Lead and coordinate system enhancements, upgrades, and new implementations, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
• Training & Support: Provide training and support to user communities, ensuring adoption and effective use of planning tools.
• Data Integration: Collaborate with data and IT teams to ensure seamless integration of planning systems with upstream and downstream data sources.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a bridge between supply chain, IT, and data teams to ensure alignment and continuous improvement.

What profile will I require?

• Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in supply chain planning systems, ideally in a global or regional role.
• Technology Background: Hands-on experience with planning tools such as Kinaxis, OMP, or similar platforms is highly desirable.
• Functional Knowledge: Strong understanding of supply chain planning processes, including demand forecasting, supply planning, capacity planning, and S&OP.
• Hybrid Skillset: A blend of business process knowledge and technical systems expertise, with the ability to manage both functional and technical conversations.
• Project Management: Experience working in Agile environments, with a track record of delivering system enhancements and managing product backlogs.
• Communication: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate business needs into system solutions.
• Language: Fluent in English (spoken and written).
• Location: Based in Barcelona with on-site presence as required.
