Consolidations Systems Manager
$150,000 – $170,000 base salary
Chicago IL based – onsite or able to travel to
We are partnered with an established organization seeking a Consolidations Systems Manager to oversee their CPM system and processes that support their financial consolidation, reporting, and compliance requirements. This role will act as a liaison between Accounting, FP&A, and IT, and will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing consolidation tools such as Oracle FCCS, OneStream, or HFM, and managing a team. While the individual in this role would ideally be based out of, or comfortable traveling to the Chicago, IL office, remote candidates can be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of consolidation systems analysts and support staff that own the administration, maintenance, and enhancements of the enterprise consolidation system (e.g., OneStream, FCCS, SAP BPC, HFM).
- Oversee system support during close cycles, ensuring accurate and timely consolidation and reporting of financial results.
- Identify and implement process improvements in consolidation, reporting, and system workflows to drive efficiency and scalability.
- Collaborate closely with accounting teams, FP&A, tax, audit, and IT to ensure system alignment with business needs.
- Lead or participate in finance system upgrades, new module implementations, and integrations (e.g., ERP, EPM, BI tools).
- Ensure compliance with SOX, internal controls, and global accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
- Develop and deliver end-user training, maintain system documentation, and support change management initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
- 6+ years of progressive experience in accounting, finance systems, or financial consolidations, with at least 3 years in a systems-focused role.
- Hands-on experience with consolidation tools such as OneStream, Tagetik, Oracle FCCS, or Hyperion Financial Management (HFM).
- Strong understanding of consolidation accounting, intercompany eliminations, FX translation, and financial reporting.
- Solid project management skills and experience in implementing or upgrading financial systems.
- Proficiency in Excel, with working knowledge of data integrations and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SmartView).
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail, with the ability to communicate complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
