Accounting & Finance Manager
Location: Hybrid – Los Angeles, CA

Compensation: Up to $140,000 base
System: NetSuite (implementation experience highly preferred)
Must Have: CPA, GAAP expertise, and operational finance leadership
An innovative, high-growth company in the tech-meets-manufacturing space is seeking a hands-on Accounting & Finance Manager to lead core financial operations and help establish the backbone of a professionalized finance function. This is a highly visible role designed for someone who can balance daily execution with strategic foresight — reporting directly to executive leadership and working cross-functionally across departments.
The company operates in a regulated and project-based environment, so ideal candidates will bring strong accounting fundamentals and experience supporting complex revenue cycles, inventory, and compliance frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Accounting Ownership: Manage general ledger, monthly close, reconciliations, and journal entries to maintain clean, accurate books in compliance with GAAP
- Revenue Recognition: Own and maintain revenue schedules in accordance with ASC 606
- ERP & Systems: Serve as finance system lead for NetSuite, driving process improvements and playing a key role in post-implementation optimization
- Inventory & Cost Accounting: Refine inventory tracking and costing methods for both standard product and project-based revenue
- Billing & Collections: Oversee invoicing, accounts receivable, and support strong cash flow practices
- Financial Reporting & KPIs: Assist with internal reporting, board/investor updates, and financial models in partnership with the executive team
- Compliance & Controls: Support tax filings, regulatory compliance, and documentation for future audits
- Team Collaboration: Manage bookkeeping support and coordinate with external tax and audit partners
Qualifications
- Active CPA (required)
- 3–5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, ideally with a blend of public accounting and in-house leadership
- Experience working with NetSuite, including configuration or implementation support
- Strong understanding of GAAP, revenue recognition (ASC 606), and cost/inventory accounting
- Hands-on, systems-savvy, and capable of building processes from the ground up
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, growth-stage environment with evolving needs
- Bonus: Familiarity with government contracting compliance (FAR/DFARS) or manufacturing operations
