Responsibilities & Day-to-Day:
- Design, develop, and maintain Shopify-based e-commerce websites and applications, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and user experience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, marketing, and product management to gather requirements and implement solutions that meet business needs and objectives.
- Customize and extend Shopify themes, templates, and functionalities using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create visually appealing and responsive web experiences.
- Integrate third-party applications, plugins, and APIs with Shopify to enhance functionality and streamline workflows, such as payment gateways, shipping providers, and marketing tools.
- Implement SEO best practices and optimize Shopify websites for search engine visibility, performance, and conversion rate optimization (CRO).
- Develop custom Shopify apps and features using Shopify’s APIs and app development frameworks to extend platform capabilities and meet unique business requirements.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues, perform code reviews, and ensure code quality and best practices are followed throughout the development lifecycle.
- Stay updated with the latest Shopify releases, features, and trends in e-commerce technology to propose innovative solutions and improvements.
- Provide technical guidance, support, and mentorship to junior developers and team members, fostering a collaborative and learning-oriented environment.
- Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, estimation, and retrospective meetings, to deliver high-quality software solutions on time and within scope.
