What is the role and company?
A global provider of enterprise software solutions is seeking a Strategic Account Manager to join its regional team focused on financial performance and planning technologies. The company delivers advanced tools that help finance professionals streamline reporting, forecasting, and decision-making.
This is a senior-level position responsible for managing high-value client relationships and driving growth across key accounts. You’ll represent a well-established platform trusted by finance teams worldwide and play a central role in shaping strategic sales initiatives.
What will I be doing?
In this role, you will:
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with major clients, ensuring satisfaction and retention.
- Focus on large tier enterprise accounts – large logo prospects
- New business focus with some upselling to key accounts
- Identify and secure new business opportunities within strategic accounts.
- Develop and execute tailored sales strategies aligned with client needs and business goals.
- Lead negotiations and manage complex deal structures with full autonomy.
- Coordinate internal teams to ensure smooth delivery and implementation of solutions.
- Analyse client data to inform strategic decisions and improve service quality.
- Represent the company in high-level discussions and industry engagements.
- Resolve complex client challenges and act as a trusted advisor.
- Support marketing and lead generation efforts to expand the client base.
What profile will I require?
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in software sales or account management, with a proven track record of exceeding targets and delivering client success.
- Ability to navigate large organisations and coordinate across departments to drive outcomes.
- Strong understanding of financial software and performance management tools.
- Experience managing strategic accounts and negotiating high-value contracts.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Fluent in English and Germany
- Skilled in using CRM platforms such as Salesforce for account planning and pipeline management.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Quick learner with a proactive and results-driven mindset.
Preferred:
- Experience in developing strategic account plans and managing complex sales cycles.
- Ability to interpret client data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Strong coordination skills across cross-functional teams.
- Background in enterprise software or financial technology sectors.
