Consolidation Analyst – Group Accounting & Reporting Location: Madrid | Full-Time | On-Site
Who is the company and what is the context? Our client is a global industrial group with a long-standing reputation for engineering excellence and innovation. As part of their international finance organisation, they are strengthening their Group Accounting function and seeking a skilled Consolidation Analyst to join their team in Madrid.
This role sits at the heart of the global consolidation process, supporting both internal and external reporting cycles and acting as a key contact for finance teams across multiple regions. The position offers exposure to international operations and the opportunity to work with cutting-edge consolidation tools, including CCH Tagetik.
What will you do?
- Contribute to the monthly Group Consolidation process, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data
- Perform data validation and quality checks to maintain integrity across reporting entities
- Assist in preparing consolidated internal reports and selected external disclosures
- Act as a point of contact for local entities regarding consolidation tool usage and reporting queries
- Support system testing and updates in Tagetik, working closely with internal IT and external support teams
- Help identify process improvements and contribute to system optimisation initiatives
What profile and skills should you bring?
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline
- 3–5 years of experience in a consolidation or group accounting role, ideally within a listed company
- Solid understanding of IFRS, intercompany eliminations, and group reporting principles
- Hands-on experience with a consolidation tool – Tagetik is a strong advantage
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and a structured approach to problem-solving
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across functions and geographies
- Fluent in English; other languages are a plus
- Willingness to travel occasionally (approx. 10–15%)
