Elite 3E Finance Systems Manager

London (hybrid)

£60,000 per annum

SystemsAccountants are working with a respected legal firm to recruit a Finance Systems Manager to join their finance function.

This is a key role overseeing the finance-related IT systems and ensuring they support the broader goals of the business. The successful candidate will lead a small systems team and work closely with finance and operational stakeholders to optimise processes through technology.

A major focus for the business is the development of a unified data warehouse to enable organisation-wide insights and AI-driven self-service analytics. The Finance Systems Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting data warehouse initiative from a finance systems perspective.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and develop a small Finance Systems team, promoting a collaborative and high-performance culture
• Drive systems enhancements and integrations, including customisations to the existing Elite 3E PMS platform
• Lead projects involving finance systems upgrades, implementations, and integrations with other platforms (including third-party systems), using tools such as ETL and APIs
• Act as the main liaison for third-party finance systems vendors
• Work cross-functionally to understand business requirements and deliver optimised systems solutions, including non-finance integrations
• Identify opportunities for new systems and process improvements, and develop accompanying business cases
• Design and deliver strategic and performance reporting to key stakeholders
• Undertake data analysis, database queries, and audit/ad hoc reporting
• Maintain core finance systems (including platforms like Elite 3E, Concur, and others), ensuring integrity, security, and efficiency
• Oversee finance system upgrades, including potential cloud migrations
• Provide training and support to ensure effective end-user adoption
• Ensure compliance with data security protocols and internal controls

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience managing finance systems in a professional services or similar environment
• Previous experience with Elite 3E
• Strong technical knowledge of data analytics, systems integrations, and tools such as SQL, Microsoft Power BI, Power Platform, and Office 365
• Experience working with APIs; familiarity with Elite 3E or similar legal practice management systems is highly desirable
• Solid understanding of finance processes and accounting principles
• Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing and developing teams
• Effective stakeholder management skills and ability to communicate technical concepts clearly
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience managing finance-related change and technology projects
• Knowledge of risk and control frameworks related to finance systems and data security
