Role:

Controller, on-site in Vacaville, California.

Overview:

The Controller will be responsible for overseeing the full accounting cycle, including managing the day-to-day operations of the accounting team, preparing timely and accurate financial reports, and leading the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes. This individual will be a key business partner to leadership, providing insights through budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

A major focus of this role will be leading the organization through a NetSuite ERP implementation. Prior ERP project experience is highly valued, and candidates with exposure to NetSuite will be prioritized.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, A/R, A/P, payroll, and cash management
• Own the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Lead and mentor a small accounting team, ensuring adherence to best practices and internal controls
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, providing insight and recommendations to leadership
• Support annual budgeting and regular forecasting processes
• Partner with operations on inventory accounting, cost analysis, and product margin reporting
• Serve as the finance lead for the NetSuite ERP implementation project—helping define requirements, drive adoption, and streamline finance-related processes
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and other third parties as needed
