The client is seeking a Controller with an extensive accounting background. The ideal candidate has industry specific experience, but is not required. The candidate must be a strong communicator and an expert financial analyst. You will make it your mission to improve their operational efficiency and aid in their continued growth through a detailed financial reporting process.
Work closely with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and the Staff Accountant to maintain the daily accounting function.
Provide comprehensive financial updates to the CFO by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting appropriate data points.
Guide financial decisions.
Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines.
Help develop and support short and long-term operational strategies.
Establish financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards on a bi-weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
Manage general ledger accounts and maintain GAAP accounting.
Manage prepaid expenses and accrued liabilities.
Recognize the types of transactions needing to be recorded as prepaid expenses or accrued liabilities.
Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
Enforce internal controls to maximize protection of Company assets, policies, procedures, and workflow.
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or related field.
Professional accounting certification, CPA (highly preferred).
Working knowledge of finance law and regulatory standards (GAAP).
Exemplary history of financial project management.
Working knowledge in NetSuite.
Experience with Bill.com.
Experience in healthcare industry (Preffered but not required).
