Senior NetSuite Systems Accountant

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior NetSuite Systems Accountant to help our clients transition to a new NetSuite system. This is a hybrid position with the client considering both freelance and permanent.
Responsibilities
- Configure NetSuite for French compliance including Plan Comptable Général (PCG), FEC, and TVA reporting
- Helped manage change from old legacy system to NetSuite
- Design chart of accounts, subsidiary setup, multi-currency functionality, and intercompany processes
- Serve as primary NetSuite administrator managing users, security, and system performance
- Create custom financial reports, dashboards, and saved searches for statutory and management reporting
- Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring data integrity and audit compliance
- Identify automation opportunities and drive process improvements
Experience
- 5-7 years accounting experience with 2-3 years using NetSuite
- Proven ERP implementation experience, preferably NetSuite
- Strong knowledge of French accounting standards and tax regulations
- Experience with NetSuite configuration, customization, and reporting tools
- Fluent French (native or professional proficiency)
- Strong English (written and verbal)
Technical Skills
- Advanced NetSuite proficiency (GL, AP, AR, SuiteAnalytics, saved searches)
- Multi-subsidiary and multi-currency management
- Strong Excel and data analysis skills
- Understanding of SuiteFlow and system integrations
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Accounting or Finance
- French accounting qualification (DCG, DSCG) preferred
- NetSuite certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
