Our trusted client in the higher education industry is seeking a talented PeopleSoft Administrator to join their team.
Location: Remote within the US working on EST
Role Type: 3 year contract
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee administration of PeopleSoft applications (v9.2) and PeopleTools (v8.62) in a cloud-hosted environment.
- Manage lifecycle updates including PUM images, tax updates, and PeopleTools upgrades.
- Use automation tools (Cloud Manager, DPKs, Ansible, scripting) for provisioning, patching, and configuration.
- Monitor and tune systems for performance, capacity, and security.
- Administer middleware components (WebLogic, Tuxedo, Integration Broker).
- Apply security updates and manage compliance requirements.
- Support integrations and third-party tools (e.g., Phire, ElasticSearch, Informatica).
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and standards.
- Provide occasional after-hours support for maintenance and critical issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience administering PeopleSoft environments.
- Expertise in PeopleSoft 9.2 and PeopleTools 8.62.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with Oracle databases.
- Familiarity with cloud hosting platforms (OCI or similar).
- Solid understanding of PeopleSoft architecture, domains, and integration components.
- Experience applying system updates and performing lifecycle management.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills
- Hands-on experience with PeopleSoft Cloud Manager in a cloud-hosted environment.
- Background in automation using DPKs, Ansible, or job schedulers (AppWorx, Tidal, etc.).
- Experience supporting higher education, public sector, or large enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of ITIL practices and structured project delivery.
- Technical certifications in Oracle/PeopleSoft.
