SAP Finance Consultant, FICA – Freelance Contractor

An international company in Germany is looking for an experienced SAP Finance Consultant with strong accounting knowledge and FI-CA skills to support and improve their ERP solution.

Having rolled out SAP S4 Hana, the company is looking for a SAP FICA Consultant to support and improve the FICA and BRIM solution and related finance and accounting processes. As the bridge between Finance and IT, you will work closely with Finance and Accounting teams to gather finance requirements, lead and advise on best practice processes and translate to SAP functional solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • SAP Finance and Accounting support and improvement for FICA areas
  • Finance Business Analysis: gather Accounting and Finance requirements and translate to functional design in SAP
  • Work on Contract Accounting topics, including GL set-up, Sub-ledger accounting, Reconciliations, including identifying as-is and to-be processes and translating to SAP solution design
  • Support the existing SAP finance system and identify and deliver optimisations and enhancements
  • Together with technical SAP teams, identify and implement a portfolio of project improvements for the SAP FICO / FICA solution

Profile:

  • 5+ years of SAP Finance experience including experience with SAP FI-CA
  • Finance process knowledge for Accounting, Contract Accounting, General Ledger set-up, Subledger Accounting, Reconciliations, Journal Entries
  • Strong Accounting knowledge and background (GL, AP, AR) – ideally Finance or Accounting Qualified E.g. ACCA, ACA, CPA or similar
  • Proven experience delivering SAP finance implementations, support and improvement projects for FI-CA
  • Strong communication skills in English
