Senior Accountant – German-speaking (HGB)
A growing international technology company is looking for a Senior Accountant to support their Finance team and deliver Group Accounting according to German GAAP (HGB).
The company is live with Oracle Netsuite as the Financial system and is looking for an experienced Accountant with excellent Handelsgesetzbuch knowledge to deliver Accounting and associated finance operations across GL, AP, AR.
The right candidate will be an experienced Financial Accountant with strong HGB knowledge and will be comfortable getting hands-on to deliver accounting operations working in German with local Tax advisors and Accounting consultants.
Your role:
- Financial Accounting at Group and Local level
- Preparing Financial Accounts according to HGB/German GAAP
- General Ledger Accounting, data cleansing and reconciliation
- Supporting month end / Year end close activities
- Supporting financial audit and working with Auditors in German and English
- Liaising with German Steuerberater (Tax Accountants) and Audit teams in local language
- Accounts Receiveable, Bank Recs and Accounts Payable records reconciliation
Your experience:
- Accountant with 2+ years’ experience
- Fluent German and English
- Excellent knowledge of German GAAP HGB
