What is the context and company?
This opportunity is with a globally recognised advisory firm that partners with leading organisations to transform their finance functions. Based in Ireland, the role sits within a dynamic and expanding team that delivers strategic and operational improvements across finance, technology, and shared services. The team works closely with clients to help them navigate complex change programmes, often involving digital tools, process redesign, and performance optimisation.
As part of continued growth, the firm is seeking a Senior Consultant to join its Finance Transformation practice. This is a client-facing role offering exposure to a wide range of industries and transformation challenges.
What will I be doing?
- Lead key workstreams within finance transformation projects, supporting clients in modernising their finance operations and systems.
- Work closely with senior stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into actionable solutions.
- Contribute to the development of proposals and support business development initiatives.
- Deliver high-quality project outcomes, managing timelines, risks, and deliverables.
- Apply your expertise in finance processes, reporting, and enabling technologies (ERP, EPM, analytics).
- Support and mentor junior team members, contributing to a collaborative and inclusive team culture.
- Stay current on emerging trends in finance and technology to bring innovative thinking to client engagements.
What skills and profile will I need?
We’re looking for someone with:
- 4+ years of relevant experience, ideally in consulting and finance transformation.
- Strong knowledge of finance operations, reporting, and digital tools such as ERP and EPM platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, Tagetik, SAC).
- Experience delivering transformation projects from design through to implementation.
- Ability to manage stakeholder relationships and communicate effectively at all levels.
- Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, MBA, or project management certifications (e.g., PMP, Prince2).
- Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities.
- A collaborative mindset and a passion for continuous learning and development.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
