Our client, a leader in the manufacturing industry is seeking a talented Senior Director, SAP Transformation who will shape and execute the organization’s digital strategy, driving innovation and technology enablement across all areas of the business. This role is responsible for leading transformative initiatives that modernize systems, elevate processes, and create long-term value for both internal teams and customers. Acting as both strategist and technologist, this leader will champion emerging technologies that enhance operational efficiency and business performance.

Location: Remote within the US and travel is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the company’s digital transformation strategy in alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Lead the end-to-end implementation of the SAP S/4HANA program, ensuring delivery is on schedule, within budget, and meets defined success metrics.
  • Oversee program governance, resource planning, risk management, and system integration across multiple workstreams.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing IT organization that delivers exceptional application and end-user support.
  • Serve as the primary executive sponsor for transformation initiatives, aligning business and IT stakeholders around shared goals and value realization.
  • Collaborate with system integrators and other technology partners to achieve program milestones and ensure quality outcomes.
  • Provide transparent communication of program progress, risks, and results to executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Drive ERP modernization, automation, and adoption of cutting-edge tools such as AI and industrial automation.
  • Establish and maintain multi-year technology roadmap that aligns resources and initiatives with strategic business outcomes.
  • Promote accountability, innovation, and continuous learning across the IT and business teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or related discipline required; advanced degree (MBA, etc.) and certifications (PMP, CPIM, SAP) preferred. Minimum 10 years of experience leading SAP S/4HANA or large-scale ERP programs, including 5+ years managing a team of IT professionals.
  • Demonstrated leadership in enterprise-wide ERP implementations; strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and functional areas such as finance, procurement, and planning. Experience with SAP BTP, security, and system architecture preferred.
  • Proven success managing large budgets and portfolios with structured methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Activate).
  • Exceptional communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills. Capable of engaging stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Background in manufacturing, process industries, or industrial automation preferred.
  • Highly organized, adaptable, and proactive with excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
