We are partnered with an established organization that is seeking a highly technical and solution-oriented Essbase Developer to support their EPM team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing and maintaining Essbase applications, be a strong communicator, and be capable of translating complex financial requirements into scalable technical solutions.
While the scope of this role will initially focus on the development of their Essbase application, the individual in this role will play an integral role in their longer term, new EPM system implementation!
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain Essbase cubes to support financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis needs.
- Collaborate with finance, accounting, and IT stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into EPM solutions.
- Develop and optimize calculation scripts, load rules, business rules, and data integration processes.
- Assist with HFM metadata maintenance, data loads, and rule logic.
- Support reporting and dashboarding efforts or develop fluency in the tool through hands-on learning and training.
- Ensure high data integrity and performance across integrated systems and processes.
- Troubleshoot data and performance issues across Essbase and related EPM applications.
- Document processes, workflows, and system architecture.
- Participate in planning and implementation of upgrades, patches, and new features across the EPM landscape.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience with Essbase development and administration.
- Proficient in scripting, calculation scripts, load rules, and performance tuning.
- Understanding of financial planning, consolidation, and reporting processes.
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
