We’re seeking a seasoned professional to take the lead on our Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) platform as a Workday Product Owner. In this role, you'll oversee the system’s development, performance, and evolution—ensuring it meets the organization’s goals and delivers a high-quality user experience.
This position blends technical system ownership, HR process understanding, and strategic planning, making it ideal for someone who can connect business needs with scalable system solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Long-Term Planning & Platform Strategy
- Establish and maintain a system roadmap covering upcoming enhancements and key initiatives.
- Evaluate new Workday functionality and determine its relevance to organizational needs.
- Recommend process improvements and automation opportunities within Workday and related tools.
System Configuration & Execution
- Design and implement configuration changes across multiple Workday modules.
- Manage ongoing system maintenance, issue resolution, and optimization efforts.
- Lead system upgrades and support new functionality rollouts across teams.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Act as a liaison between HR, IT, Finance, and other internal groups to understand and prioritize system requirements.
- Translate complex technical details into business-friendly insights.
- Help enforce consistent processes and data governance standards across users and departments.
Analytics & Reporting
- Create and manage dashboards and reports using native Workday tools.
- Monitor data accuracy and integration performance across platforms.
- Support business leaders with relevant insights and system-driven analytics.
Governance, Risk, & Compliance
- Ensure system access and workflows meet internal and external compliance expectations.
- Conduct audits, update documentation, and maintain system security protocols.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience
- Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience working with Workday HCM in a system admin, lead, or analyst capacity.
- Familiarity with HR lifecycle processes, particularly around recruiting, onboarding, and benefits administration.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects, support business stakeholders, and deliver system improvements on time.
Technical Knowledge
- Experience configuring and supporting core HCM functions, security models, and benefits modules.
- Exposure to additional areas like time tracking, compensation planning, absence management, or performance tools is a plus.
- Proficient in using Workday's reporting and integration tools (e.g. Report Writer, Calculated Fields, etc.).
Soft Skills
- Clear and confident communicator, able to present ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage priorities and deadlines across multiple projects.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally in a collaborative, fast-moving environment.
