What is the role and company?
A large international organisation headquartered in Belgium is seeking a freelance consultant with deep expertise in IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) to support ongoing development and architectural needs within its finance systems landscape. The company operates in a complex, multi-entity environment and is looking to strengthen its internal capabilities by bringing in a hands-on expert who can step in when the lead architect is unavailable.
This is a project-focused role designed to enhance and extend the current IBM Planning Analytics setup, with a particular emphasis on system architecture, report development, and integration with related platforms. The working language is English, and the team operates in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
What will I be doing?
As the IBM Planning Analytics Consultant, you will:
- Support the architecture and technical design of IBM Planning Analytics solutions.
- Lead or contribute to development activities, including cube design, rule writing, and report building.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable solutions.
- Work closely with IT and data teams to ensure smooth integration between IBM PA and other systems.
- Step in as a technical lead when the internal architect is unavailable, ensuring continuity and quality.
- Participate in workshops and project meetings to align development with business goals.
- Provide documentation and knowledge transfer to internal teams as needed.
What profile will I require?
Required:
- Extensive hands-on experience with IBM Planning Analytics (TM1), including architecture, development, and optimisation.
- Strong understanding of finance and performance management processes.
- Experience working in complex environments with multiple systems and data sources.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical challenges.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
- Availability to work on-site in Belgium on a hybrid basis.
Preferred:
- Experience in large international organisations or consulting environments.
- Familiarity with data integration tools and techniques.
- Ability to support knowledge transfer and mentor internal team members.
- Previous freelance or contract experience in similar roles.
