Workday HCM Lead
Location: Central London (2 days per week on-site, hybrid working)

Salary £80-000-£90,000 per annum
The Role:
Our London based client are looking for an experienced Workday HCM Lead with exceptional stakeholder management skills to take ownership of their newly implemented Workday platform. Following their recent go-live, this role will focus on optimising, stabilising, and embedding Workday across the business while leading the roadmap for future enhancements.
You will be the primary point of contact for all Workday HCM related matters, partnering closely with HR, Technology, and Finance to ensure the platform delivers maximum value and continues to evolve with business needs.
As the Workday HCM Lead, you will:
– Design and maintain a prioritised Workday roadmap, balancing immediate support needs with longer-term enhancements.
– Oversee continuous improvement of HCM modules.
– Work collaboratively with internal teams, SI partners and other third party providers to encourage user adoption.
– Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and regulatory requirements.
– Drive the post-go-live optimisation of processes, configurations, and reporting to improve efficiency and user adoption.
– Manage the release cycle for Workday, ensuring smooth adoption of new features and minimal disruption to operations.
– Serve as the liaison between HR stakeholders, the Technology team, and third-party Workday support providers to help triage Workday issues, enhancements, and defects, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication.
– Partner with business stakeholders to define requirements, facilitate workshops, and deliver scalable, best-practice solutions.
– Oversee integrations with payroll, benefits platforms, and finance systems, ensuring reliability and data integrity.
Skills & Experience
– 5+ years’ Workday HCM Lead capacity, with demonstrable experience in platform ownership, Workday optimisation and team management.
– Strong track record in post-go-live stabilisation, and roadmap delivery.
– Broad knowledge of HR processes and operations within a global organisation.
– Able to implement best practice processes.
– Experience managing and optimising third-party integrations (e.g., payroll, benefits providers).
– Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage HR, Finance, and Technology teams effectively.
– Experience leading Workday release management and enhancements cycles.
– Familiarity with Agile tools and methods (Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps) advantageous.
