About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Workday Report Writer to join our team in supporting the implementation of Workday HCM, Financials (FINS), and Payroll. This is a remote role focused on delivering high-quality, scalable, and insightful Workday reports and dashboards to support key business processes across HR, Finance, and Payroll.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Workday’s reporting capabilities and a proven track record in Workday implementations, particularly in the HCM, Financials, and Payroll modules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain custom and delivered Workday reports, dashboards, and analytics to meet business needs across HCM, Financials, and Payroll.
  • Collaborate with functional and technical stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into effective Workday reporting solutions.
  • Create advanced reports using Workday Report Writer, including Calculated Fields, Advanced Reports, Matrix Reports, Composite Reports, and Dashboards.
  • Ensure data accuracy, security, and compliance in all reporting solutions.
  • Assist in data validation, testing, and UAT during Workday implementation phases.
  • Support ad-hoc reporting and troubleshooting needs post-implementation.
  • Maintain documentation for reporting processes, logic, and change history.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement and optimize Workday reporting capabilities.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience with Workday Reporting in HCM, Financials, and/or Payroll.
  • Hands-on experience with Workday implementation projects, including involvement in data/reporting workstreams.
  • Proficiency in Calculated Fields, Workday Studio (optional), BIRT (nice to have), and security within Workday reporting.
  • Strong understanding of Workday data structures and business processes across multiple functional areas.
  • Experience supporting compliance and audit reporting (e.g., SOX, ACA, payroll audit).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Workday Prism Analytics, People Experience Dashboards, or People Analytics (Discovery Boards).
  • Workday certification(s) in Reporting, HCM, FINS, or Payroll (preferred but not required).
  • Previous experience with large-scale Workday deployments.
