Bankrate is the leader in publishing, aggregating and distributing personalized financial products online, across multiple categories including mortgages, deposits, credit cards, senior care, retirement, auto loans and taxes.

The Project

Bankrate launched a project to optimize back-office processes and replace their weak financial systems. The goal was to implement solutions offering different analysis and reporting tools, to present the Finance Department and the business with real-time management information that strengthens sales, marketing and planning.

The Solution

Bankrate selected NetSuite ERP to meet its needs and tapped SystemsAccountants to recruit a high-caliber financial systems manager to be based in the New York headquarters. SA was commissioned to conduct a discreet nationwide search for a limited number of highly experienced financial systems managers.

The Result

It was essential that candidates had experience in the complete implementation of the NetSuite ERP system from design to completion and that they had expert knowledge of NetSuite in order to optimize the creation of reports, analyzes and exchanges in a constantly evolving business environment. Additionally, candidates were required to have dual skills in finance and accounting, as well as in-depth expertise in financial systems implementation and development.

SA’s NetSuite team tapped into its unique network of financial systems professionals. Its search team put together an extensive list of candidates using various internal databases as well as social media.

The SA team therefore organized the job interviews to assess the most suitable candidates for this role. A list of 3 specific candidates was presented to the CFO of Bankrate.com. Our client made the right decision to hire one of the shortlisted candidates. This is now well integrated into the business and is evolving to allow Bankrate to take advantage of the investment made in NetSuite.
